ABOUT THE HOUSE OF PRAYER

THE HOUSE OF PRAYER for all people is a vision to be a people of worship and not merely a place of worship.

Grace & Peace has a name: Jesus Christ.

Titus 2:11, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.”

Ephesians 2:14 “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;”

The House of prayer finds meaning to its existence in the testifying of the gospel of the grace of God, that is Jesus Christ, to the sons and daughters of the stranger (people alienated from God). Isa 56:6, Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

THE GRACE OF GOD LEADS TO THE PEACE OF GOD

Two of our greatest needs: 1. Grace. 2. Peace.

Grace is God’s favour on our lives and peace is wholesomeness and rest. We are saved by grace, salvation is the result of grace, and from salvation begins the outpouring of every other gift of God, peace included.

  1. To have grace in our life is to have God in our life, not for the sake of having him as some symbolic, ritualistic, incommunicado source of power, but having him as part of a passionate, living and thriving relationship.
  2. Peace according to the Bible is completeness and rest. Interestingly, peace is misunderstood by many as a state of mind, an experience in tranquility, and the lack of peace akin to that sinking feeling which makes one feel lonely, sad, desperate, suicidal, insignificant and so on. However, the Old Testament word for  peace is shalom, it  means wholesomeness. In the New Testament, peace, meaning rest, is  eirene. Contrary to popular opinion, for a person to be whole and for him to rest, he needs to be healed in his inner being and in-dwelt by God Himself

Isa 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Ezekiel 36:27, “And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”

1 Cor 3:16, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

Also, It will help if we understand that peace is not the absence of conflict, but strength in the presence of real and visible danger. Thankfully, experiencing both grace and peace is possible through knowing God, intimately.

2 Peter 1:2, Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

Grace and peace cannot be found in people or things, for we can have all sorts of things and people and still be utterly graceless, incomplete and restless. Grace and peace is God who lived in our midst in the form of a person, 2000 years back, his name is: Jesus.

Titus 2:11, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.”

EPH 2:14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

HOUSE OF PRAYER: THE VISION, EARLY 2017

He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open; Numbers 24:4. The Lord is the giver of visions; the House of prayer is His vision for His purposes.

ISA 56: 1-8

1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
