The purpose of “The House” is to testify the good news of the grace of God to the sons and daughters of the stranger, people who are alienated from Christ.
For, to not know Christ is to not know peace. Peace as the world understands it, is not what it actually is. Peace for many is a state of mind, an experience in tranquility, and the lack of peace is that sinking feeling that makes one feel lonely, sad, desperate, suicidal, insignificant and so on. However, contrary to popular opinion, the Biblical word for peace: shalom means “wholesomeness”, therefore to have peace is to be complete. Peace is not found in things or people, for you can have all sorts of things and people and still be utterly incomplete. Peace is God who lived in our midst in the form of a person, 2000 years back, and He is the only one who can make us complete; His name is: Jesus.
ISA 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
EPH 2:14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
